Blackberry and Blueberry Picking
We’ll open the orchard for pick-your-own blackberries and blueberries on Monday, June 22 from 6 pm to 7 pm. Field closes at 7:30 pm or whenever we run out of ripe fruit.
We will post the link to register here 24 hours in advance (so 6 pm on Sunday for the pick on Monday).
Blackberries and blueberries are available for picking but it is getting to the end of the season. Blueberries are very nearly picked out. Ask us where the good spots are. Blackberries are still coming in, but this might be the last week for them as our season has traditionally ended about June 19th. Some blackberries are showing signs of blight, so be choosy and only pick the good berries and leave the bad ones for the birds.
Available for picking:
blackberries: thornless varieties including Osage, Ouachita, Ponca and Caddo. Kiowa is thorny, but has excellent fruit. Caddo and Kiowa are producing large berries right now.
blueberries: We still have early-season rabbiteye varieties including Climax, Premier, Austin, Brightwell, but they are getting harder to find. Late season rabbiteyes are ripening such as Powderblue and Tifblue.
New for 2026 season: we will start selling picked fruit by weight: $8 a pound.
Blueberries and blackberries are $8 a pound. You only pay for what you pick (no entry fee). We accept cash, credit cards and Venmo. We round down to the nearest dollar when paying with cash.
New for 2026 season: we will start providing bags to put in the buckets. Then we will have an easy way to weigh the produce. You can take the bags home or transfer the picked berries to take-home containers.
We are a no-smoking farm. We cannot allow pets into the orchard or parking area.
